Autumn Trees

A tree that features foliage that delivers vibrant tones of red, gold, orange, copper, pinks, yellow or rust - or a combination of all, is what we call an amazing autumn tree. Heralding the coming of winter and the end of hot summer days, the autumn foliage tree is a seasonal hero.

Autumn means different things to different people and to Fleming’s, this season allows many of our ornamental trees to shine. We have selected trees in this category that embody the first thing most people think of when they imagine this magical time of year.  All of these trees bring their own particular brand of WOW to the autumn garden and are consistent in their offer.

For a knock-out hero autumn tree, one cannot go past a Lipstick® Maple. Those that love a whimsical small tree – the purple, orange, copper, and rust of the Forest Pansy is a treat or something a little less usual is the Parrotia persica with rich orange tones.

“For diverse autumn foliage gardens, include trees that turn various shades and act as a backdrop to more impressive cultivars.  For example - a Golden Ash (Fraxinus ‘Aurea’) may be planted as a backdrop to highlight the contrast of a fiery red Autumn Blaze (Acer x freemanii Autumn Blaze®).” Wes
