Fleming's release TWO new Ornamental Cherries to blush over...

After many years and meticulous planning and bringing new plants ito the country via tough new regulations, Australia is set to see a huge influx of beautiful new ornamental tree introductions in the coming years from Fleming’s Nurseries and the first of these are TWO NEW PRUNUS varieties.

Prunus x incam JFS-KW 14’ ‘First Blush’ [PBR] is an exceedingly beautiful upright growing ornamental cherry – the first in more than 20 years and Fleming’s, the tree experts, are excited! A new weeping cherry is also on the market - Prunus  yedoensis x incisa ‘NCPHI’ ‘Pink Cascade’ [PBR].

Prunus x incam ‘JFS-KW 14’ First Blush [PBR]

Fleming’s Nurseries is thrilled to be able to release the first new upright growing form of ornamental cherry to the Australian Market for many years.

This delightful ornamental cherry will not disappoint with exceptional early spring flowers in great abundance. Flowers are a very attractive double pink often described as ‘smothering’ the tree in spring.

The upright form of this tree makes it ideal for use either in a small garden, for use as an avenue or cluster planting where an early flowering tree is desired.

 

 Landscape Value: A small to medium growing deciduous tree, First Blush will provide an exceptional early spring show of double pink flowers suitable for use in home gardens, parks and gardens, avenues.

Foliage: Deep green, finely textured, disease resistant leaves that turn bright orange to orange-red in autumn.

Flowers: Very Pink, double. Floriferous.

Bark: Grey-brown

Prunus  yedoensis x incisa ‘NCPHI’ Pink Cascade [PBR]

A weeping cherry to knock your socks off! Fleming’s are super excited to welcome ‘Pink Cascade’ to the market in 2021 as this flowering cherry is one of the best we’ve seen! Featuring swathes of very pink double flowers that burst forth in early spring, Pink Cascade is set to be a winner!

The bright single pink flowers cluster along gracefully weeping branches that are grafted to a small or tall standard, this is a small garden tree that is easy to grow.

 

Landscape Value: A small weeping deciduous tree offering an exceptional early spring show of pink flowers suitable for use in home gardens, parks and gardens, avenues.

Foliage: Deep green, finely textured, turn orange to orange-red in autumn.
