    Glossy green foliage appears to resist summer leaf scorch well, before changing to bright tones of red and orange in the autumn. The tree usually breaks bud quite early in spring.

    Small black fruits are formed from late summer to autumn. In early trials in Australia it appears that isolated trees form only small quantities of inedible fruit.
