This small ornamental pear offers a compact, dense growth habit, bright autumn colour and hardy disposition. It may be used successfully as a hedge, screen or barrier as well a single specimen in small to medium-sized gardens.

Glossy green foliage appears to resist summer leaf scorch well, before changing to bright tones of red and orange in the autumn. The tree usually breaks bud quite early in spring.

Light grey bark becomes slightly furrowed with age.
Ornamental Fruit

Small black fruits are formed from late summer to autumn. In early trials in Australia it appears that isolated trees form only small quantities of inedible fruit.
