Lagerstroemia indica x L. fauriei 'Zuni' Indian Summer®

A very free-flowering and tough shrub or small tree providing interest throughout the year. Lagerstroemia ‘Zuni’ is among the smaller growing cultivars in the Indian Summer® range making it excellent for use in such areas such as small gardens, road median strips and public forecourt plantings.

Glossy, leathery, medium green leaves turn reddish-orange to dark red in autumn. Young growth tinged red.
Bark

Young branches are heavily pigmented red, mature branches exfoliate (after about three years) to reveal a light, greyish-brown underbark.

Reported (overseas) to be seedless.

Rounded with upright branching. Multi-stemmed.
Flowers

Masses of pinky-lavender coloured flowers mid-summer to early autumn.
