Foliage
Adult leaves are a dull green to blue-green, narrow lanceolate, up to 15 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. Juvenile leaves are sessile, broad-lanceolate, up to 18cm long and 3.5 cm wide. Prominent oil glands, that are strongly peppermint scented when crushed.

Bark
rough throughout, finely fissured with fine interlaced fibres, grey to greyish-brown. upper branches are smooth, whitish-grey in colour.

Ornamental Fruit
Small, pear-shaped with a disc level or slightly depressed, and three to four valves to rim level.Seeds are red-brown in colour.

Tree Habit
A rounded, medium to large-sized tree usually with a dense crown and branchlets are often weeping in habit.

Flowers
Flowering period usually October through to January. Normally in clusters of seven, profuse and white in colour.
