  • Foliage

    Broadly ovate with prominent venation. New leaves are fresh lime green in colour. Autumn colour can be excellent and ranges from rich reds to glowing oranges and burgundy.

  • Bark

    Young bark can be bright red to dark red-brown, and age to a grey-brown with lighter grey marking and numerous lenticils. In contrast, the stems of the flower cymes are bright green.

  • Ornamental Fruit

    Under ideal conditions, small clusters of small, bright blue fruits are formed on red stems.

  • Tree Habit

    Spreading wider than high, with a distinct layered, or tiered, branching habit.

  • Flowers

    Flat topped cymes of densely packed creamy-white flowers from late spring to early summer. Mature trees are a magnificent sight when the branches are covered with flowers.
