Carpinus betulus  'Franz Fontaine'

Carpinus betulus  'Franz Fontaine'

A selected form of fastigiate Carpinus which retains its narrow pyamidal habit and noticeably a tighter form compared to C. ‘Fastigiata’ in early years of growth. May broaden slightly as trees matures. Outstanding formal tree and with its slender growth habit, it is especially suitable for mass plantings, street plantings, hedges, avenues and in urban areas.
