The unusual foliage of this cultivar is outstanding. Mid-green leaves with a deeply cut margin. Butter yellow in autumn. Held in a pendulous fashion on the branches.

Papery white, peeling when shed. Becoming roughly fissured with greyish-black patches on the trunk when older.

Small winged nutlets borne in a pendulous 'cone' (strobilus) that sheds in autumn.
