Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Viridis'

A graceful weeping Japanese maple that is one of the widest spreading and one of the fastest growing of the weeping ‘laceleaf’ types. An excellent cultivar (equal to the better known purple-leafed weeping maples) suitable as a specimen for protected gardens where there is space for it to reach its full potential.

Bright green, deeply incised with seven to nine long, fine lobes that are in turn deeply divided and serrated. The foliage colour holds well in protected sites. In autumn, the foliage turns brilliant scarlet-red.

Young branches greenish-brown.

Small samaras in pairs. Green with red edges.
Tree Habit

Rounded and spreading with pendulous branches. The young branches first spread, then cascade into a wide-growing, pendulous tree.
