Sapote 'Black Tahiti'
Sapote 'Black Tahiti'
Native to Central Americal and Mexico, the ripe Black Sapote fruit is commonly compared to the taste and texture of chocolate pudding. If the sepal is lifting off the top of the fruit this is ready to harvest. Cut fruit from tree and then store until softened well before eating. Often added to juice or milk and also good when added to pies or pastries. Often dehydrated, or made into fruit leathers.
