| Comments: |
Prefers an open site. Moderately susceptible to Melampsora medusae (poplar rust) and leaf spot particularly in areas of high summer humidity. Propagated onto minimal-suckering rootstock and will generally not produce suckers unless the roots are damaged. Has been shown to have good potential as a timber tree and for erosion control by the New Zealand Forest Research Institute (NZFRI). |
