- Overseas travel experience: Being really sick (flu heading to St Anton, Austria only to find that my train didn’t connect until the following morning, being stranded at Innsbrook overnight, sick and nowhere to stay a complete stranger I’d met on the train walked me to the hotel opposite the train station and proceeded to book a room and then walk away. When I asked him why he was doing it he simply said “Returning a favour” - a stranger had helped him in a similar situation in Australia while travelling and he had been waiting for an opportunity to return the favour, it took him 9 years, this was thirteen years ago and I still haven’t been able to return the favour, but I have never forgotten the day or the man.
